Whether it’s a registry office with a big party afterwards, a humanist ceremony in the woods, or the church near where you grew up, I aim to capture every wedding I photograph in a creative and thoughtful way.
Each wedding is unique, and requires fresh eyes and energy, but there are some things that are consistent in how I work.
My style of wedding photography is documentary-inspired, so I take natural, candid photographs of your day as it unfolds. Whilst I’m always happy to do a series of group shots, I prefer to spend my time capturing the real moments, both funny and tender, that spontaneously occur and that collectively add up to the narrative of your day.
I also try to make sure I cover everyone there, not just follow the bride around, and aim to blend in with the crowd. I hope that you forget I’m there - until you see the photographs I took, that is!
And afterwards I carefully curate a selection of images for you to print and share. I don’t overly edit or stylise as I want you to be able to recognise what you see.
I understand how much thought, creativity and care has gone into planning and making your day, and it’s the magic that results from this that I want to capture.
Because when the dress is stained, the menus crumpled and ring-marked, and the memories of the final few hours a little blurry, you’ll have the photographs to hold onto.
I keep my pricing simple and straight-forward, and have put together three packages to suit most peak-time weddings.
If you are getting married mid-week, or looking for something a little different (perhaps a multi-day wedding), then please do get in contact and I would be more than happy to put together a bespoke offering for you.
I love doing engagement shoots, and think they are a great way for us to get to know each other better, for you to get used to being in front of the camera, and for you to get some stunning portraits which can be used for invitations! As such I now offer a complementary photoshoot somewhere in Somerset with every package. If you are not based in this beautiful county then I would be more than happy to offer recommendations on how you can make a relaxing weekend of it.
Optional extras, on top of the packages below, include a second photographer (perhaps for a big wedding with lots of people to cover), bespoke wedding albums, and timeless prints. Just email me for details.
